Think! Road Safety- The "Think!" road safety campaign is an initiative by the UK government to make the roads safer for all users: motorists and pedestrians.
Driving Standards Agency- The DSA is responsible for conducting driving tests in Great Britain for cars, motorcycles, maintaining a register of Driving Instructors (and checking their standard of tuition) and setting and maintaining theory test standards.
Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency- The DVLA is responsible for maintaining a register of drivers and vehicles in the UK for both private and commercial vehicules and all types driving permits.
Institute of Advanced Motorists- As the UK’s leading road safety charity, they are dedicated to increasing skills for all road users, raising driving and riding standards and helping to save lives on our roads. Becoming part of the IAM is a great way to enhance your driving and riding skills in an safe, enjoyable and educational environment. They also administer the Advanced Driving Test.
Motor Schools Association- The Motor Schools Association is the senior national association for Advanced Driving Instructors. First established in 1935, MSA is a non-profit making association, without shareholders, wholly owned by and run entirely for the benefit of its members. Full membership is reserved for Approved Driving Instructors, however, trainees, potential driving instructors (PDI’s), driving school proprietors and other interested parties may also join but are not allowed a vote. PDI’s are welcomed into MSA membership and on qualification are converted to full members at no extra charge. With regional centres of activity throughout the country, it is perfectly placed to give real support, advice, information & services to its members and the general public.
Driving Instructors Association- The Driving Instructors Association is the trade association for Driving Instructors. Members must adhere to the Code of Conduct of the DIA to ensure their professonal integrity including "taking all reasonable care, using skill and diligence, in instructing clients in all relevant aspects of traffic and driver education".
Pass Plus- The Pass Plus scheme is aimed at new drivers to help them become better drivers. To join Pass Plus you need to find an Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) to train you. Your ADI will help you complete the six training modules to pass the training course. Pass Plus is an established training course aimed at new drivers. It was designed by the Driving Standards Agency (DSA) with the help of insurers and the driving instruction industry. Statistics show that new drivers are more likely to have an accident in the first two years after passing their test, due to lack of driving experience. Pass Plus builds on your skills and knowledge. It will teach you how to anticipate, plan for and deal with all kinds of hazards, to help you become a more confident driver.
nrite- The National Register of Instructor Training Establishments (NRITE) is a list of experienced instructor trainers who have completed a comprehensive training course in how to deliver high quality, value for money ADI training. We are members.
